24.09.2018: Penrhyndeudraeth, Wales

Today Courntie and I met up with our good friend Linden Springer who is currently playing hockey in Manchester, England. Linden made the two hour drive to meet us at our Air B&B in Wales and we went and got brunch at a cafe along the water in Porthmadog.

We heard of a hike to a hidden church in the middle of the hills that overlooked Penrhydeudraeth, where the views were supposed to be spectacular, so we made the hike and I am glad we did because the scenery was great! This could have been one of my favourite spots of the trip thus far!

Following the trail up the hillside.

A herd of sheep were stuck in front of us so we had to follow them most of the way up!

The rest of the herd flanked off but these guys wanted to escort us further up the hill

This hike was taking longer than expected and I was fairly certain we were going the wrong way but we finally saw the church from this road!

Linden making sure the church is still there!

This was a perfect day to do this walk!

The church on the left!

The church was unlocked so we were able to go in and look around

There was actually a sign towards the front of the church that said that the church is a haven for bats, and described which species of bats tended to be there.

It was not a fancy picnic!

Pictures do not do the view justice but it was one of the nicest places I have been to!

It gave us a nice view of the ocean!

This was a short walk from the cafe that we stopped at for brunch!

Not a bad place to be buried!

It was good to hang out with a friend from home today! Thanks for coming along for the day Lindy!
