20.10.2018: Pfingstegg, Switzerland

Courtnie and I have both been fighting colds this week, and we would take a day to relax but a few of the lifts are closing on certain mountains because it is the begining of the off season, until they re-open in the mid-winter. So today we went to Pfingstegg which closes after this weekend, and tomorrow we will go to Maennlichen which is also closing. Since we weren't feeling great today we chose the shorter hike which was supposed to be an hour and a half each way, unfortunately for us we took a wrong turn and had to eventually back track forty five minutes.

Eventually we made it to Pfingstegg, where they have the rodelbahn. It is basically a toboggan track that you ride down on a plastic sled with wheels! When we finally reached the track, riders were going by fairly slow so we thought that maybe it was a children's ride. We did it anyway and it turned out to be a lot of fun, you can choose how fast you want to go down the track, while the people we were observing earlier coasted down the track, Courtnie and I did not!
