09.11.2018: Feldkirch, Austria

Court and I arrived in Feldkirch yesterday from Zurich, and we awkwardly realized that neither of us knew why we decided to go to Feldkirch. Neither of us had any specific reason for coming here but Courtnie had it written down in our day planner and I booked the Air B&B a couple weeks ago, so here we are. After a couple google searches we discovered that Feldkirch is a very old place, and was first written about in around 1215, so there is a lot of history. We are staying in a gorgeous place which is very modern and was actually reasonably priced! In Feldkirch there is the Potentiale festival going on this weekend which from what we can decipher is that it is similar to a craft fair, in which people from around the area advertise and sell their handmade clothing, bags, furniture, jewelry, photography, artwork etc! We have a knack for going into town around noon when everything is closed, so we went into the Schattenburg castle that overlooks the city, but most of it was closed, so tomorrow we are planning on going back to attend the castle museum!

Yes I know Courtnie is in none of the photographs today; she carried the camera and I didn't think we were planning on blogging today! So if pictures of Court are the only thing you want to see in the blog, today you are out of luck! She will be in some in the next post for sure!

Court's dream house (and hedge)

On our walk back to our Air B&B

Tons of modern houses and additions in the village of Franstanz (where we are staying)

Our place!

Feeling like the 1%

There are cattle in the back yard behind our place and Court went out to get some glamour shots of them but as she was out there the farmer called the cows in for the night, so this was the only shot she captured. I believe she is planning to take pictures of the cows tomorrow so stay tuned.
