06.12.2018: Brussels, Belgium

First and most importantly it is my Mother's birthday today! Happy Birthday Mom, I look forward to seeing you soon! 💗

Court and I spent have spent two days in Brussels and we have been really enjoying the city! Our Air B&B is literally right in the heart of it and is a short walk to everything we wanted to check out!
Today we admired the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert, which is one of Europe's first covered shopping arcades and is split into three halls - the King, Queen and Princes Galleries.

After a bit of exploring we found the Manneken Pis! Which from Dutch it translates to "Little Pisser"; the statue is of a little boy peeing and it has become a famous symbol of the city and Belgium. It has become tradition that the Manneken Pis will be dressed up in different costumes throughout the year. Other places around the world donate costumes for the boy to wear!

We then went and watched a light show in the Grote Market and Grand Place. The market square is the most beautiful square we have been in throughout this trip. We head to Bruges tomorrow, and if you have not watched "In Bruges" starring Colin Farrell, I highly recommend it!

Courtnie was a dreadful photographer today, and was barely trying

This is pretty much the view right outside of our place

Upset that she hasn't been able to pack an advent calendar in her backpack.

Groovy Baby! Courtnie has been quoting Austin Power's Goldmember lines since we got to Belgium.

Belgian waffles; I am not the best at reading French (thanks Walburg School, jk)  but Courtnie assured me that what I was about to order would not have bananas...

Loves bananas so much she wouldn't hold still for me to take a photo!
Note: the menu said fruit frais sooo no indication that bananas were going to be part of it.
